The Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) is seeking public assistance to arrest three Tamil suspects who are believed to have been storing weapons for a major attack.

Information about the planned attack was uncovered after a young man was arrested with a T-56 rifle while traveling in a three-wheeler in Kiribathgoda on July 21. Following questioning, the police located a cache of hand grenades hidden in a house in Vavuniya. It was revealed that the suspects were preparing to transport the grenades to Colombo. The TID has reportedly identified the three suspects who were storing the hand grenades.

Police seek public assistance to apprehend 3 suspects poised for a major attack

The public is requested to provide any information about the following individuals:

Shivarupa Sujeepan: A 30-year-old male residing at Gandhi Nagar, Seyakulam.

Ilanko Setichchinan Manikhami: A 27-year-old male residing in Settikulam.

Mahendiran Yogaraja: A 27-year-old male residing in Arali West, Vaddukoddai.

The police have requested that any information about these individuals be reported to the Terrorist Investigation Division at 0718591966 or 0718596150.
