The Ministry of Health and Mass Media’s Secretary, Specialist Doctor Anil Jasinghe, has issued a circular stating that it has become difficult to continuously carry out essential duties due to the nature of the ministry’s work, as a result of staff members taking leave.

According to the circular, the Ministry of Health has decided to temporarily halt the approval of both domestic and foreign leave until further notice.

The circular also announces that the recruitment of new officers for all vacant positions within the Ministry of Health and Mass Media has been restricted.
