Hon. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended as the Chief Guest at the diplomatic reception hosted by the Embassy of Vietnam in Colombo on yesterday(19).

The event marked the 80th National Day of Vietnam and the 55th Anniversary of Sri Lanka–Vietnam diplomatic relations.

In his remarks, Minister Herath conveyed greetings from President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and highlighted the strong friendship and solidarity between the two nations.

He noted the steady growth of cooperation across trade, education, agriculture, defence, and cultural exchange, with new opportunities in renewable energy, investment, and tourism.
