It is reported that the total number of tourists who have arrived in Sri Lanka so far in 2025 has exceeded the 1.5 million mark.

According to statistics released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 1,500,656 foreign tourists have arrived in Sri Lanka to date.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also states that over 132,368 tourists arrived in the first 18 days of August alone. The largest numbers of tourists arriving in August were from India, Britain, Russia, Germany, and China, in that order.
