The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has organized a nationwide awareness week against forbidden pyramid schemes, running from today until July 18th. The theme of this initiative is “Aho dukaki Pyramida ugulaki.”

The Central Bank states that the goal of this national program is to broadly educate the public about forbidden pyramid schemes and the significant risks they pose to individuals and the economy as a whole. This aligns with the Central Bank’s mandate to promote the well-being of financial consumers and maintain the stability of the financial system.
