Hon. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism of Sri Lanka, held a bilateral meeting with Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, on the sidelines of the 58th ASEAN Regional Forum Ministerial Meeting in Kuala Lumpur.

The two Ministers expressed satisfaction over the longstanding and robust relations between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in a wide range of areas, including high-level exchanges, economic collaboration, religious tourism, and educational partnerships. The Ministers also exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.

This meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to further strengthen their historic and friendly ties.
