“Don’t be fooled by fake news about a fuel shortage ”
– Ministry of Power and Energy
The Ministry of Power and Energy has issued an announcement urging the public not to be deceived by false news regarding a fuel shortage.
According to the Ministry, it has observed that various fake and misleading reports, particularly on social media, are circulating, suggesting a potential fuel shortage in Sri Lanka due to the Iran-Israel conflict.
The Ministry assures the public that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation possesses sufficient fuel stocks for the next two months. Furthermore, arrangements have been made to secure future ordered fuel shipments without any issues. Therefore, the Ministry of Power and Energy requests the public to not be misled by fake news.
