Dr. Gita Gopinath, First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has arrived in Sri Lanka for a two-day official visit.

During her visit, Dr. Gopinath is scheduled to attend a conference titled “Sri Lanka’s Economic Recovery: Debt and Governance” on June 16, 2025. This conference is being jointly organized by the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, and the International Monetary Fund, and she will participate as a special invitee.
