Train operations between the Peradeniya and Kandy railway stations have been temporarily suspended. This measure was taken due to a subsidence on the railway line near the Kandy court complex.

General Manager of Railways, Dhammika Jayasundara, stated that necessary steps are currently underway to swiftly restore the affected section of the track. Authorities are working to minimize the disruption caused to commuters.
