Sri Lanka Railways has launched a special free train service between Anuradhapura and Mihintale, commencing today, (09) at 12:30 PM. This initiative provides pilgrims with complimentary travel during the sacred Poson Poya festivities.

According to Dhammika Jayasundara, the General Manager of Railways, a private company is fully sponsoring this special train service, ensuring that devotees can travel from Anuradhapura to Mihintale without any cost.

The Railway Control Room office confirmed that this special Poson train will operate with 36 trips from today until June 11th.
