Thai contestant Opal Suchata Chungsri won the 2025 Miss World crown on the 31st of May at a ceremony held at the HITEX Convention Center in Hyderabad, India.
The 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant, which began in Great Britain in 1951, commenced on May 7th in Telangana, India. Opal Suchata makes history as the first contestant from Thailand to win the Miss World crown.

24-year-old Opal Suchata Chungsri claimed the Miss World crown after several competitive rounds, and was also awarded a cash prize of one million US dollars. Opal is pursuing a degree in Politics and International Relations at the Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University.
For this year’s Miss World pageant, 108 contestants participated, divided into 4 continents, with 10 contestants from each continent being selected for the final round. The continents were categorized as Americas and the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, and Asia and Oceania.
