The Minister of Mass Media, Cabinet Spokesman, Dr. Nalinda Jayathissa stated during today’s (27) media briefing to announce cabinet decisions that attention has been focused on the new COVID virus that is spreading again in several countries around the world.

Further expressing his views, the Minister said, “A certain number of cases have been reported in Singapore and India. We are paying close attention to this. We have not yet received information about a danger similar to what existed in the past. However, we are intervening in these activities right from the airport.”
