Former Minister of Agriculture, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, has been remanded until the 26th of this month, according to reports.

This action follows an arrest warrant issued by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court, regarding allegations of importing a shipment of substandard organic fertilizer from a Chinese company during the previous government. Former Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage appeared before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today (19), after which the court issued the aforementioned remand order, as reported.
