The Prisons Department states that an opportunity has been provided for open visits to imprisoned detainees for two days, tomorrow (12) and the day after (13), on the occasion of the Vesak full moon Poya day.

Here, the process of showing these visitors will be carried out in all prison institutions across the island in accordance with all health guidelines. The Prisons Department informs that relatives of the detainees should take steps to provide one food parcel, one sweets parcel, and one parcel containing sanitary items, sufficient for one detainee
