Voting for 339 local government bodies, including municipal councils, urban councils, and rural councils, will be held today (06) from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 13,759 polling stations. This election covers 4,877 local government electoral divisions across 25 administrative districts.

In this election, 8,287 members, including mayors, deputy mayors, chairpersons, and deputy chairpersons, are to be elected to these local government bodies. According to the Election Commission’s data reports, 75,589 candidates representing 49 political parties and 257 independent groups have submitted nominations. Members are to be elected for 28 municipal councils, 36 urban councils, and 275 rural councils.

17,156,338 (seventeen million, one hundred fifty-six thousand, three hundred thirty-eight) voters are eligible to cast their ballots, and vote counting will take place at 5,783 counting centers.
