The Election Commission states that the period granted to contesting political parties and candidates for campaign activities related to the local government elections ends at midnight today (03).
According to election law, all campaign activities must cease 48 hours before the day of the election. Furthermore, all campaign offices, except for the media offices established at the local government level and the divisional media offices set up for each division, must be dismantled and removed after midnight today. Additionally, all decorations other than advertisement boards of 60 square feet must be removed by 12:00 midnight today, according to the Election Commission.

For the election of members to 339 local government bodies, 17,156,338 eligible voters are scheduled to cast their votes on the 6th at 13,759 polling stations.
The counting of votes will be done by selecting one polling station per electorate and transporting the ballot boxes to that location. Counting will commence at 5:00 PM on that day.
