Veteran singer Saman de Silva passed away this morning (27).

Saman de Silva, who was 68 years old at the time of his death, had been receiving treatment at the Kotelawala Defence University Hospital for some time due to an illness, according to family relatives.

Mr. Saman de Silva, who made a significant contribution to the country’s music industry, has sung many popular songs. Among his songs, “Niyare Piyanagala,” “Santhosa Wenne Preethi Wenne,” and “Thanathilla Dige” gained immense popularity.
