The Lanka Transport Board has reportedly taken steps to deploy additional buses today as well, based on passenger needs for people traveling to their hometowns for the New Year.

Ms. Sherin Athukorala, Director of Operations and Service Monitoring at the National Transport Commission, stated that transport facilities will be provided today (13) from the Colombo, Makumbura, Kaduwela, and Kadawatha bus terminals for people traveling to their hometowns. She added that buses have already been deployed as needed, but there is currently no significant passenger demand compared to previous days.

However, the Director mentioned that the National Transport Commission will take steps to provide transportation services for individuals engaged in business activities in Colombo and suburban areas who may come to travel to their hometowns this morning.
