It is reported that the Vasavilan – Palaly road, which had been closed for 34 years due to the prevailing wartime situation, was reopened this morning (10) following strong requests from local residents and the general public.
As this Vasavilan – Palaly road runs through a high-security zone and military housing, steps have been taken to open it to the public under a set of security regulations. Accordingly, it is reported that this road will be open to the public only from 6 am to 5 pm.

Passengers and drivers traveling along this road must be prepared to verify their identity at any time if required. It is also prohibited to walk or cycle on the road at any time, and no heavy vehicles other than passenger transport buses are allowed to operate. It is mentioned that parking or turning vehicles on the road is strictly prohibited at any time.
Furthermore, it is stated on the signboards installed along the road that taking photographs or recording videos is prohibited at any time. A notice board outlining these regulations has been erected at the starting point of the road, and it further states that legal action will be taken against individuals who violate the aforementioned rules.
It has also been announced that the maximum speed limit allowed is 40 kilometres per hour.
