R.M.L.A. Rathnayake, the Chairman of the Election Commission, states that reserved packets containing postal votes for 114 local government bodies will be handed over to the Postal Department today (07).

He further mentioned that arrangements will be made to distribute postal ballots for other local government bodies after the judicial process is completed.

Postmaster General Ruwan Sathkumara stated that all arrangements are now in place to receive the reserved packets containing postal votes for the local government body elections by the postal service.
