Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, currently on a State visit to Sri Lanka at the invitation of President Anura Kumara Disanayake, has reached Anuradhapura a short while ago.
Upon his arrival at the sacred site, Prime Minister Modi was warmly received by Northern Province Governor Vasantha Jinadasa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath, Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development, Wasantha Samarasinghe and Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha.

Subsequently, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour by the Sri Lanka Air Force.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit reaffirms the shared vision of “Friendship of Centuries – Commitment to a Prosperous Future”, underscoring the deep-rooted ties and aspirations for mutual progress between the two countries.
