Sri Lanka Police has announced that a special traffic plan and a special security plan will be implemented in Colombo and several other areas due to the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Sri Lanka.
Police Media Spokesperson, Senior Superintendent of Police Buddhika Manathunga, stated:
“Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Sri Lanka is scheduled to begin tomorrow (04). In light of this visit, Sri Lanka Police will implement a special traffic plan and a special security plan. Accordingly, on April 4th, between 6 PM and 10 PM, the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway and Baseline Road will be subject to intermittent closures.”

“Individuals traveling to Katunayake International Airport during this period are advised to take note of these road closures and plan their travel accordingly.”
“Furthermore, on April 5th, roads in the Colombo Galle Face area, Independence Square area, and the ‘Ape Gama’ premises in Battaramulla will be subject to intermittent closures.”
“Sri Lanka Police requests the cooperation of all drivers and the general public in adhering to this special traffic plan.”
