Special Notice to Sri Lankans in South Korea

Authorities in South Korea report that wildfires are rapidly spreading due to severe dry weather and strong winds in the Seoul region.

The Sri Lankan Embassy in South Korea has announced that no Sri Lankans have been harmed by these wildfires.

The Sri Lankan Embassy urges Sri Lankans residing in South Korea to avoid traveling to the wildfire-affected areas and advises them to contact the embassy at the following phone numbers in case of any emergencies:

It is reported that wildfires in six southeastern regions of South Korea have burned approximately 43,330 acres, and 19 people have been injured.
