The development project will minimize the difficulties faced by the local people
Yesterday (23) evening, Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation, Bimal Rathnayake, and Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways, Dr. Prasanna Gunaseena, participated in an inspection of the rapidly developing Pothuhera – Rambukkana expressway.
During the inspection, the Minister stated that the Pothuhera to Rambukkana section is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. He also instructed the construction companies and the Road Development Authority (RDA) to take measures to minimize the difficulties faced by the local people due to this development project

Furthermore, Minister Bimal Rathnayake directed that measures be taken for the welfare of the construction company employees. He also mentioned that all development activities are being expedited following the approval of the NPP (National People’s Power) maiden budget.
The Director-General and officials of the Road Development Authority and project engineers also participated in this occasion.”
