A new mobile application was launched today (22) at the Election Commission to facilitate the submission of complaints related to the local government elections. The mobile application, named EC EDR, has been introduced to enable the submission of election complaints through formal and technologically advanced methods.

Regarding this, the Chairman of the Election Commission, R.M.A.L. Rathnayake, stated:

‘If the public has a complaint, they can now submit it through this app. The person who filed the complaint can also find out what happened to their complaint. Additionally, this app allows for the provision of video, photo, and other information.
