Acceptance of nominations for the local government elections has concluded
The Election Commission has decided to hold the 2025 Local Government Elections on the 6th of May 6th.
The acceptance of nominations for the local government elections concluded today (20) at 12 noon. The nomination acceptance process for 336 local government bodies commenced on the 17th, and the deposit of security money related to the local government elections also concluded yesterday (19). Accordingly, the Election Commission has stated that time has been allocated until 1:30 PM today for filing objections.
