An Indian woman was arrested this morning (26th) at Katunayake International Airport by officers of the Customs Narcotics Control Unit with 1 kilogram and 200 grams of Kush narcotics, valued at approximately 12 million Sri Lankan Rupees.

The arrested 38-year-old suspect had arrived in Sri Lanka from Bangkok, Thailand, via Hong Kong. The suspect had concealed the Kush narcotics in food packets within her luggage. The suspect and the seized narcotics have been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigation.
