First Foreign Job Fair of 2025 held yesterday in Kandy

This program, with the participation of government-recognized institutions such as NAITA, VTA, and the Hotel School, also facilitated recruitment for vocational training related to jobs in high demand in the foreign job market. Mr. Arun Hemachandra, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment, delivered a guest lecture during the program and made the following remarks:

He expressed his satisfaction with the provision of bursaries to the children of expatriate workers and assured that more care would be given to expatriate workers even after they return to their home country. He emphasized the importance of registering with the Foreign Employment Bureau for those planning to work abroad.

It was noted that due to the activities of the previous government, many irregularities persist in this field. Moving forward, the job selection process will be conducted transparently. Furthermore, it was stated that the country would be steered toward development on a progressive path, avoiding corruption, fraud, and waste, ensuring that no problems are left for future generations.
