Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, Ananda Wijepala, announced at a ceremony held in the Thambuttegama area that a sum of Rs. 90 billion has been allocated in the upcoming budget to increase the salaries of public sector employees.

Furthermore, the Minister stated that several steps are planned to bring about a transformative change in the public service in the future.
