Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s second son, Yoshitha Rajapaksa, was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) yesterday morning and remanded until January 27 after being presented to the court yesterday afternoon (25). He was arrested yesterday morning at the Beliatta entrance of the Southern Expressway by a team of officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The arrest was made under the Money Laundering Act, based on the advice of the Attorney General. Yoshitha was taken into custody in connection with an incident involving the purchase of a house in collaboration with his grandma, Daisy Forrest.
