The Acting IGP emphasized that it is the police’s responsibility to bring criminals before the law. He also noted that the inability to take appropriate action against crime in the past had led to a significant increase in criminal activity.

Commenting on the rise in criminal activities during the recent past, the Acting IGP explained that many of these crimes were orchestrated by individuals residing abroad.

“Moreover, we see another bitter truth—that these criminals are also orchestrating crimes from within prisons. We are continuously working on these matters and taking measures to minimize such crimes,” he added.
