On the occasion of the Pongal festival which is an annual celebration, the teachers’ panel of the Sunday school of St. Anthony’s Church organised a Pongal Kollam competition with the guidance of Rev Fr Jagath Fonseka the Parish Priest.

The competition was held in the main conference hall of the church, and it was a special occasion where a large number of students belonging to the parish participated in this competition. There were about six groups of contestants with each consisting of around five members who were given advice and guidance  by the teachers. It was a very colourful atmosphere to see these children getting involved and managing the time given for them to showcase their skills.
