The Colombo Stock Exchange indices recorded a significant rise yesterday (15).Accordingly, at the close of trading today, the All Share Price Index (ASPI) increased by 226.35 points to reach 16,152.35 points, while the S&P SL20 index rose by 97.63 points to record 4,905.92 points.
A turnover of Rs. 4.44 billion was reported for today’s trading.Meanwhile, although the All Share Price Index of the Colombo Stock Exchange surpassed the 16,000-point mark for the first time in history on January 2, it later dropped below this level, reflecting some degree of investor caution.
However, the index once again surpassed the 16,000-point threshold yesterday.
