Under Route No. 187, luxury buses operating between Colombo Fort and Katunayake have been granted permission by the Airport and Aviation Services Company to access the airport departure terminal commencing today.

The company stated that this decision was taken to enhance convenience for air passengers.

This permission for Colombo Fort-Katunayake buses to reach the airport departure terminal has been granted after nearly six years.

However, these buses are not allowed to remain inside the airport premises to operate the service.

The service was temporarily halted following a request from security authorities after the Easter Sunday attacks in 2019.
