The Public Health Inspectors’ Association states that a special program has been launched to inspect food and beverages sold in urban areas frequented by the public during the festive season.

According to the association’s chairman, Upul Rohana, approximately 1,750 field public health inspectors have been deployed for this purpose.

Rohana also mentioned that the program includes inspecting the raw materials used in the preparation of food items specifically produced for the festive season.
