The Cabinet has approved the systematic removal of luxury vehicles that impose a significant financial burden on state institutions.

Ministerial Spokesperson Minister Nalinda Jayatissa announced this decision during yesterday’s cabinet decision media briefing.

Government plans to remove luxury vehicles from state institutions

The decision was made considering the high costs incurred for the maintenance and fuel consumption of certain luxury vehicles used by state institutions.

The Minister stated that removing such luxury vehicles is seen as a more economically viable option.
