The railway line between Hali-Ela and Udawara has been reopened for train operations. Train services on the Badulla-Colombo railway line were temporarily halted due to a landslide near milepost 175/50, caused by adverse weather conditions affecting the country.

The railway department officials have now restored the affected section of the railway line to its normal condition. Accordingly, it has been announced that train services have resumed from today.
