Candidates for the GCE Advanced Level Examination who are unable to travel to their designated examination centres because of adverse weather are permitted to sit for their exams at the nearest centres, according to a statement made by the Commissioner General of Examinations, Amith Jayasundara.
Candidates who are having difficulties are encouraged to contact the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) at 117 to get assistance.

In considering the current situation, arrangements have been put in place through the DMC to provide students sitting the Advanced Level exam the facilities they need.
Additionally, the Commissioner General of Examinations assured that examination centres have been directed to offer suitable accommodations for students who are delayed in reaching their centres because of traffic jams caused on by adverse weather.
