According to the Meteorological Department, there will occasionally be showers or thundershowers in the Galle and Matara districts as well as in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Northwest provinces.
During the evening or night, there are several of places on the other areas of the island where showers or thundershowers may occur.

It further stated that strong winds of up to 40 kmph are occasionally possible over the Northern, North-Central, and North-Western provinces as well as in the districts of Trincomalee and Hambantota.
