According to the Meteorological Department, there will occasionally be showers or thundershowers in the Galle and Matara districts as well as in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western, and Northern provinces.
In some areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces, fairly heavy showers over 75 mm are likely to occur
“Parts of the island are expected to experience fairly heavy showers”
It added that during the evening or night, there will be showers or thundershowers in several of areas throughout the rest of the island.
In Trincomalee and Hambantota districts, as well as over the Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces, strong winds of roughly 40 to 45 kmph are occasionally expected.
