In the deep sea areas of the East and Central Bay of Bengal, the Department of Meteorology has issued an “Amber” level advisory for multi-day boats due to heavy rain, strong winds, and severe seas.

A low-pressure area is likely to form over the East-Central Bay of Bengal and the adjacent North Andaman Sea tomorrow (21), according to the departments advisory. By October 23rd, it’s likely going to move northwestward and intensify into a depression.

Weather report – An advisory was issued for heavy winds, rain, and rough seas

It also added that there is a chance of very strong winds (70–80 kmph) over above sea areas, along with heavy rainfall and very rough seas.

Thus, it is asked that the naval and fishing communities exercise caution when conducting their activities in the aforementioned maritime zones.
