According to Sri Lanka’s Foreign Ministry, the Middle East’s ongoing conflict has escalated, creating a dire situation, particularly in Lebanon.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement stating that the relevant Sri Lanka Missions in those countries are already taking the necessary measures to protect the safety and security of the large number of Sri Lankans employed in the region.

The Sri Lanka Missions will also routinely offer the necessary directives to guarantee the safety of Sri Lankans, it said.
The message further stated that Sri Lankans living in the Middle East are asked to take special attention of these directives and act accordingly.
