According to the Meteorological Department, showers or thundershowers will occur at times occur in the districts of Trincomalee, Galle, Matara, Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, and Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western, and Northern provinces.
“Parts of the island could see fairly heavy showers.”
In some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western, and Northern provinces as well as in the Galle, Matara, and Trincomalee districts, quite heavy showers of about 75 mm are predicted.
It said that there would be showers or thundershowers in several of places throughout the evening or night.
