Based on a sealed indictment, music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was taken into arrest by federal investigators in Manhattan on Monday night, said the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
Marc Agnifilo, a Combs attorney, told Reuters, “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe to be an unjust prosecution of Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.”
Combs voluntarily moved to New York ahead of the allegations, according to Agnifilo.
Regarding Agnifilo’s statements, a representative for the Southern District of New York U.S. Attorney declined to comment.

In the Southern District of New York, singer Dawn Richard filed a lawsuit last week, charging Combs with sexual assault, battery, sex trafficking, gender discrimination, and fraud. Combs denies the allegations .
In a separate sexual assault complaint filed by Derrick Lee Smith, who claimed that Combs had drugged and sexually assaulted him at a party over thirty years prior, Combs was forced to pay $100 million in the same month. Combs’s lawyer announced that the rapper would file a motion to have the judgement overturned.
R&B singer Casandra Ventura sued Combs in 2023, claiming that over the course of their ten-year love and professional relationship, Combs had sexually abused and raped her on multiple occasions. In November 2023, she agreed to an undisclosed settlement, and Combs vehemently refuted the accusations.
Combs was a very successful singer and is now regarded as one of the most important hip-hop executives and producers.
