All schools on the island will be closed on Friday, September 20, according to a statement from the Ministry of Education.
“Due to the presidential election, schools will be closed today.”
The Ministry of Education made this decision in response to the Chairman of the Election Commission’s request because of the September 21 presidential election.
It is also said that September 23 is when the schools are scheduled to resume.
