Today is expected to be a conversation between officials of the Election Commission of Sri Lanka and international election monitors who have come to Sri Lanka to observe the upcoming presidential election.
The meeting is scheduled to happen today morning (18) at the Election Commission’s a place. It will also be the first meeting between Election Commission members and the international observers monitoring the presidential contest.
“Members of the EC will meet with international election observers.”
The Commonwealth Observer Group (COG) and the Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL) are anticipated to take part in the conversation.
Today’s meeting between Election Commission officials and the international observers is in preparation for tomorrow’s planned election monitoring operations around the island’s districts.
