Rajitha Ranasinghe, the deputy postmaster general, says that more than 10 million official voting cards for the 2024 presidential election have already been distributed.
Additionally, he gave the assurance that the voters would receive the remaining official polling cards in the next few days, and that the Postal Department plans to finish distributing them by September 14th.

Voters can visit their local post office with their National Identity Card (NIC) to verify their identity and collect their voting card if they haven’t gotten their official polling cards by that date, according to Ranasinghe.
According to him, voters will have this chance up to September 21, when the presidential election will take place.
For the forthcoming election, 17.44 million people are registered to vote, according to the Election Commission.
