During a Diamond League meet in Poland on Sunday, Armand Duplantis broke the world record in the pole vault once more, this time clearing 6.26 meters.
In Chorzow, Duplantis, a 24-year-old competitor for his mother’s home country of Sweden, gained an additional centimetre on his world record.
“This year, Armand Duplantis has broken the world record for the pole vault three times.”
He’s now set a world record three times this year. After winning the gold medal, he accomplished this at the most recent Olympic Games in Paris, clearing 6.25 meters.
Known by most as “Mondo,” Duplantis has now shattered the world record ten times in his career, winning by a mere millimetre each time.
