Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the presidential candidate for the National People’s Power (NPP), unveiled his election manifesto this morning in Colombo.
A number of dignitaries, including the NPP leader and presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake, as well as party members and religious leaders, attended the unveiling of the party’s election manifesto, which is titled “A Thriving Nation, A Beautiful Life.”

NPP parliamentarian Harini Amarasuriya spoke at the event and said that even though a number of parties present their manifestos, once they are elected to office, they act entirely against them.
She added that the NPP will only implement national policy in accordance with the pertinent contract, which they are presenting to the populace through their manifesto as their party’s social contract.
