“The Only Suitable Leader for the Future is Ranil Wickremesinghe”
Former Minister S.B. Navinna stated that among the candidates for the upcoming Presidential Election, President Ranil Wickremesinghe is the most suitable to lead the future of the country.The former Minister also emphasized that citizens should not forget the contributions made by President Ranil Wickremesinghe during the past two years since the country’s crisis.
Former Minister S.B. Navinna made these remarks at a press conference held yesterday (21) at President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s campaign office in Flower Road, Colombo 07.
Victor Stanley, the Jaffna District Organizer of Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), along with U.L.M.N. Mubeen, National Propaganda Secretary of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) and Pararajasingham Udayarasa, the leader of the Sri Telo Organization, also spoke at the press conference, where they expressed their support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming Presidential Election.
Former Minister S.B. Navinna further stated:
I was actively involved in politics from 1989 to 2020. After a four-year break, I have returned to support Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe’s campaign, believing he is the best candidate to shape the country’s future given the current situation.Among the Presidential candidates this year, he stands out as the most qualified. It is well-known who is responsible for the economic decline that led to the current crisis and the return of long queues. Despite the many statements made by various individuals today, none have taken responsibility for rebuilding the nation. President Ranil Wickremesinghe took on the responsibility of rebuilding the country and ended the era of shortages and queues. Citizens should remember the significant service he has rendered over the past two years. As a former minister and representative of the Kurunegala district, I am committed to providing my full support to ensure President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s victory in the upcoming Presidential Election.

Everyone is aware of the challenges our country faced in the past, when our people had to endure an era of long queues. During that crisis, President Ranil Wickremesinghe stepped in and brought hope to a discouraged nation, ending the era of waiting in lines.
As a result, we no longer need to follow the rallies organized by various parties, and we certainly do not want to return to the days of queues. Despite the many promises made by different groups during these elections, the people are no longer easily deceived. Therefore, we are pledging our support to President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming presidential election, for the sake of the country’s future and its people.

A significant number of active members of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress in the Batticaloa District have united in support of President Ranil Wickremesinghe. The people of the Eastern Province face many challenges, and we believe that President Wickremesinghe is the only leader capable of addressing these issues.Two years ago, our people endured great hardships, but the situation in the country has improved considerably since then. It is crucial that President Wickremesinghe’s efforts to rebuild the nation continue. If this journey is interrupted, the country could once again face a decline. President Ranil Wickremesinghe is a leader who understands the economic and social problems of the people, with the right political vision. Therefore, we pledge our full support for his victory.

In the last presidential election, we supported a candidate who promised to protect the country. However, that administration failed, leading to an economic collapse and an era of long queues. We do not want to see such a situation again.When opposition leaders refused the responsibility of rebuilding the country, President Ranil Wickremesinghe stepped up and worked to stabilize the economy. We are supporting him in this presidential election because he is the only leader who successfully revived the country and can continue to safeguard it.
When Sajith Premadasa was the Housing Minister, none of the housing projects initiated in our district were successfully completed, showing his failure as a minister.Our people will not be misled by such empty promises again.
